How do you clean a Graco spray tip?
Cleaning Graco Airless Spray Tips
Once your sprayer is clean, screw the tip guard back onto the spray gun. Insert the tip into the guard in the reverse position. Turn up the pressure and pull the trigger to clear the spray tip of any paint stuck inside. Clean your spray gun filter after each use.
Instructions
- Turn power OFF.
- Turn pressure to lowest setting.
- Turn prime valve down (to open position).
- Remove filter assembly and assemble airless spray gun without filter.
- Remove guard and SwitchTip.
- Clean filter, guard and SwitchTip in flushing fluid (water, paint thinner etc.).
Secondly, why does my paint sprayer keeps clogging? Tip plugging is caused by solids in the paint that are too large to pass through the tip orifice. Diluting or thinning paint does not reduce the size of the solids. Strain the paint, flush the sprayer, clean the filters, and re-prime the system.
Beside above, what is a 515 spray tip?
For example, a 515 tip will spray a 10-inch-wide fan and have a 15-thousandths of an inch orifice. It's the combination of fan-width and orifice-size that determines how thick of a coating you'll spray. Case in point – a 317 tip and a 517 tip both have the same orifice size – 17-thousandths of an inch.
How do you get dried latex paint out of a paint sprayer?
Thoroughly clean the spray guard and the tip with warm water. A soft bristle brush can help quickly remove dried paint from both parts. After washing the tip, hold it toward a light source and look through the larger hole on the tip. You should be able to see daylight through the tiny spray hole.
